"I do not exist alone"

     Castillo believes in team work. He welcomes a
plurality of viewpoints. In his studio are a team of artists and craftsmen who inspire and conspire with one another with their creations and grow in skill and recognition in the process.

The Artist’s Statement

I do hope to create a repository of ancient crafts and techniques, a genebank of sorts to preserve as well as to combine these seamlessly with modern materials and techniques irrespective of design trends. The craftsman too is an endangered species.

I will strive to help elevate respect for the Filipino as a craftsman equal to the best in the world and help more people in the communities we serve.

All these have now come with the realization that the circumstances and events, good and seemingly bad in my life have been so scientifically precise in magnitude, timing, and scope that one could only surmise that these are all part of God’s plan and that I am just a steward of his kind benevolence.
